    老乌鸦和小乌鸦

    老乌鸦和小乌鸦

          在大海的中央有个小岛,一只乌鸦就在这里筑巢。小岛很小很小,在雏鸦破壳而出后不久,乌鸦便无法为自己和雏儿觅得足够的食物。于是老乌鸦便决定回到大陆。

          乌鸦用爪子抓住一个雏儿,带着他飞越大海。然而,路途遥远,老乌鸦飞得很疲倦了,他慢慢下降,翅膀拍打得也越来越慢。

          老乌鸦问小乌鸦道:“要是我变得衰老不堪,而你却长大成人,强壮有力,你会不会照顾我,把我带来带去?你把实话告诉我!”

          小乌鸦很快地回答道:“我会照顾你的,爸爸。”因为他怕老乌鸦会把自己丢在大海里。

          乌鸦继续飞行,可他越飞越累。“我的儿子没说实话,”他想,于是松开爪子,使雏儿跌落下来。小乌鸦跌落于波涛之中,立即淹死。老乌鸦又飞回小岛。

          在他养精蓄锐、重又感到强壮之时,又携带他的第二只雏鸦飞越大海。可他又飞累了,累得几乎无法振翅飞翔了。

          他又对第二个雏儿提出同样的问题,而这第二个雏儿也由于怕被淹死而不假思索地回答道:“我会照顾你的,爸爸!”

          可他的爸爸不相信他。在老乌鸦筋疲力尽之际又松开了爪子,他的第二个孩子也葬身于大海之中。

          这样在小岛的窝中剩下一只小乌鸦了。老乌鸦携带起他的最后一个雏儿飞越大海。

          “儿子,”他问道,“我老了,你会喂我照顾我吗?”

          “不,爸爸,我不会这样做的。”小乌鸦回答说。

          “那为什么呢?”老乌鸦问。

         “要是你老了,我长大了,我会有自己的窝,要养活和照顾自己的雏儿。”

         “他说的是实话,”老乌鸦想,“他要筑自己的窝,养育自己的孩子。”

          老乌鸦用尽最后的气力往高处飞翔,拍打着翅膀,带自己的雏儿飞越波涛汹涌的大海,稳妥地来到了陆地。
